Between the lagoon and the sea, La Maison d'Akoula is a sanctuary of refined hospitality, nestled in the heart of Assinie Mafia, Côte d'Ivoire. Driven by the vision of its owner—a passionate patron of art and design—this five-star guesthouse embodies a unique fusion of colonial elegance, safari lodge aesthetics, and contemporary luxury.

Completed in 2019, our mission was coordination and supervision, ensuring a seamless execution of the project. In close collaboration with the owner, we also contributed to the layout and curation of select artworks and decorative elements, shaping an ambiance that is both immersive and deeply personal.

Designed as a chic gallery lodge, the space blends upcycled touches with bespoke craftsmanship, where every detail—from the grand colonial structures to the meticulously sourced furnishings—tells a story of heritage and reinvention. Set against a breathtaking natural landscape, La Maison d'Akoula offers guests an unparalleled experience, where luxury is not just seen but felt in every curated moment. Today, it stands as a benchmark of high-end hospitality in West Africa, a testament to the synergy between visionary ownership and thoughtful architectural execution.
